The best time to visit would be between October and May as later it gets too hot and temperature rise to over 50 degrees. The people are very pleasant and welcoming. Make sure that you take a guide especially when you visit the fascinating pyramids and museum. They have various guides in many languages, with detailed historical information. Should you decide to risk it without a guide be prepared to be hassled by vendors and hagglers asking for extra money at every corner.

While in Egypt don’t miss a cruise on the Nile. This is breathtaking in itself. There are prices for every budget. Honeymooners especially would enjoy this romantic trip.

Visas for European passport holders are easily available at the airport. Food and drinks are fairly cheap compared to Europe. However, bottled water is a must.
