  2. Australia has the lowest precipitation of any of the world’s continents with people living on them.  (Antarctica gets less but no one really lives there so they don’t really count.)
  3. About 21% of Australians smoke.
  4. There are approximately 1500 species of Australian spiders.
  5. The worlds largest population of camels with one hump reside in Australia.
  6. No part of Australia is more than 1000 kilometers from the ocean and beaches.
  7. In Australia, Tasmania, has the cleanest air in the world.  (I bet this is good for your health!)
  8. The Great Barrier reef has a mailbox and you can take a ferry out there and send a postcard with the only Great Barrier reef stamp.

Hmm, this is interesting, but some of it isn’t true or is no longer true. There are kangaroos that live in Papua New Guinea, for instance.

It’s a good introduction to my lovely country though!
