It’s Spring in Sydney

Praising Spring in Sydney, Australia. About travel and ideal living.
Downunder is bursting to life, as days grow longer.
Australian Spring Flower
The Northern Fall brings showers, shorter days and the blues. Take heart, it’s spring on the other side of the world – Australia is coming alive. Sydney skies are clear of clouds and sunlight dapples the deep, aquamarine home of the famous Opera House. By the Harbour, in the nooks and dells of this natural place, life is bursting forth as the animals and flowering plants feel the warmth from longer days. It’s a riot of colour.

The air is fresh, cool and just like a cleansing facial. Snow in the near-by ranges to the West keeps it so making it comfortable to be alive in. Spring in Australia is cold with the sight of cashmere and flowing hair hinting at the winter just gone. It’s this freshness that draws visitors eager to see Sydney at the onset of glorious spring without sweating through our very hot summers.
Red Jewels

A scent of dusky, sweet Wattle flower fills the air in the National Parks. My mother told me the sign of spring in Australia is in the flowering of the native emblem – the Golden Wattle. Many varieties of this yellow flowering annual fill our beaches and bushlands bringing honeybees and nectar birds the much needed energy they crave after Sydney’s surprisingly bitter winter. The riot of life is warmed by the higher Sun that energises this unique spring symphony.
Banksia Blossom

In the bushlands and foreshore gardens the birds compete for juicy berries filled with golden sugar. The Australian Magpie, a black and white bird native to Sydney, cries it’s multitudinous mating call. Scientist’s remain baffled at this linguist of the bush – documenting over a hundred songs from this berry-hunting avian.

Fabulous girls with flawless skin and incredible style also come alive shedding their dark winter garments for lighter, comfortable apparel. As the days warm they frolic on golden sands at Bondi Beach with the sea dumping bracing foam on their curvaceous, joy filled forms. Spring is when the beach also burst into life and body culture once again appears. Sydney girls respond to it all with trill and laughter like the many gorgeous songbirds of the region.
Plump Sugar Berries

Along Sydney’s boulevards sweet, green shoots appear on branches. Spring showers also come yielding the next morning to clear, crisp sky and shimmering seas. This cacophony of sight, smell and sound relieves the mind and relaxes the senses with it’s mélange of glee. Now is the recommended time to visit Sydney and escape the Northern cold snap.
