Sail in the Kettuvallams and see the sun rise above the horizon or set down. Make a cruise in the Kettuvalams during a moonlit night and experience the beauty of night.  Have a glimpse of the Chinese fishing nets that dot the Alapuzzha backwaters.

Have a glimpse of the village life while wading through the backwaters of Alapuzzha. Get closer to the paddy fields and swaying palms as in Alapuzzha water is in level with the land. Go through the palm fringed canals, which swirls around paddy fields and tiny hamlets.

Alapuzzha backwaters are also known for snake boat races. Watch the giant snake boats, which are known as Chundanvallams, splash through the backwaters. The snake boat races are held in the month of September/October.
