Bihar-Jharkhand: A Barbaric State

A real life incident.
Bihar and Jharkhand are the eastern states of India. My recent visit to this place has been quite horrific during some instances.
My findings were:
1) There is no proper transportation or communication system. If you have money and can bear the unreasonable rates charged by private transporters, only then you can think of going there.
2) It is very dangerous to travel in night because there are no proper roads, and thieves and Naxalites become very active.
3) There is no sign of streetlights.
4) People travel in train without ticket and force people having reserved seats to leave their seats to make way for them. If they do not give their seats, they are beaten brutally.
5) There is no active police to take control.
6) Chain pulling of trains is a common practice. This makes all the trains late.
Since, I went to interiors of Bihar; the findings show the real Bihar. The situation is so bad that there is a need of military rule.
However, the natural beauty is awesome, as still industrialization has not penetrated to these states.

Very true and worrying. Think of it – the golden age of Indian civilization flourished here between the 3rd and 6th centuries A.D. The pendulum has really swung to the other extreme.
