Jaipur, also known as the Pink City, is an exotic ancient city known for its century old palaces, forts and attractions. I had the chance to explore this amazing city. Here are some pictures I took and places I went on my one day tour of Jaipur.

Jaipur, also known as the Pink City is an exotic ancient city filled with century old palaces, forts, buzzing markets and restaurants.  Situated in the North West of India, Jaipur lures thousands of vacation makers from every walk of life to enjoy its rich history, culture and traditions. If you are a history buff, Jaipur is a must visit for you.

I should thank God that I had opportunity to visit this exotic city. But this one visit was enough for me to fall in love with this city called Jaipur. Besides its historic attractions, Jaipur and its surrounding region have lots to offer including action packed desert safari tours, ghost town tours and so on. But unfortunately due to of tight scheduled I could only spend a day in the beautiful city. Which I spend visiting some of the most enchanting palaces and forts I have even been to.

Below are some pictures that I clicked on my One day tour of Jaipur

Amer Fort also known as Amber Fort is located around 10 kilometers from Jaipur. My visit to Amer Fort was worth all the trouble i faced. Amer Fort is a treat for all eyes.

Inside Amer Fort

Amer Fort: Sort of a Courty Yard. Where the King use to address his soldiers

Amer Fort: Below you can see the Garden. It is said that the garden grows all sorts of vegetable year round.

View from Hawa Palace or Air Palace: Built by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh in 1799. The design was inspired by the crown of Lord Krishna. The best part about this palace is you won’t see any stairs leading to the upper floor. Only Ramps were used to access the upper floors.

Jaipur City Palace: One of Jaipur’s most famous attraction, Jaipur City Palace is a fine example of Rajput’s art and architecture.

If you are planning to take a vacation, i would recommend Jaipur as it has so much to offer. Besides the forts and palaces, one can also find variety of museums and art galleries. Shoppers will also love this city as you will find everything from designer wears to one of a kinf art and craft, souvenirs and gifts.

Jaipur is also known for its vibrant nightlife and a night here will sweep you off your feet. You can enjoy exotic tradtional dance and drama shows at the various cultural venues. Chill out at bars or just dance the night away in a disco.
