India is a wonderful country having diverse cultures, climates, people, languages, religions and many other things that can make any one curious about the country  dreaming to come here one day and once any one comes to India wishes to come again and again. Here are some places one must include in his/her trip to India. These top tourist destinations are also popularly known as top honeymoon spots in the country-

• Goa- People who know India, know Goa. It is one of the main attractions that are crowded by international and domestic tourists through out the year. Best known for its beaches Goa is famous for its culture, life style, night life, world heritage architecture, places of worship and biodiversity. Goa is the 25th and smallest state (in term of area) in India. Beautiful location of Goa (at Western Ghat, India) makes the tourism prime industry of the state. The place is also known for its famous locally produced wine “Fenny”. In both winter and summer, tourists all over the world visit Goa to enjoy splendid climate.
• Masoori- Masoori is no less popular than Almora, Nainital and Pithoragarh as all are situated in the same state Uttaranchal. Location of Masoori makes it blessed with various attractions and the place well deserves the name of an ideal hill station. Snow capped mountain ranges surround Masoori from north to east while the Shivalik ranges give the town a panoramic view by surrounding from south. Masoori is known for its pleasant climate and diverse flora and fauna. The splendid view of Doon valley is another attraction that makes Masoori a hot spot for tourists.

• Darjeeling- The credit goes to the British who developed Darjeeling as a hill station during their rule over India. It is due to the temperate climate and beautiful location that Darjeeling acquires an important and ideal place for newly-wed couples and other domestic as well as international tourists. Located in West Bengal state on the lower ranges of Himalayas at an average altitude of 6,982 ft. Darjeeling is blessed with beautiful hilly slopes. During the day time when sky is clear, one can view the world’s highest peak Mount Everest (8,850 meters) as well as the third highest peak of the world Mount Kanchan Jungha (8,598 meters). Lloyd’s Botanical garden and Padmaja Naidu Himalayan zoological park are the worth places to view some of rare Himalayan species of flora and fauna. Darjeeling Himalayan Railway is one of the best ways to get better view natural beauties. It is one of few railway tracks in India that still operates steam engines and was declared a UNESCO world heritage site in 1999.

• Leh-Located in the eastern part of Jammu& Kashmir Leh is the largest (45110km.) and only district of India which have cold desert. Its different culture, colorful festivals, monasteries, hills and adventurous sports are the things that make it one of popular destinations in India. Leh is famous for its peacock dance, archery competitions, wonderful trekking trail and fast flowing rivers (for rafting). Zaskar River is well known worldwide among white water surfing lovers. The Santi Stupa which is recent in origin and enshrined by Dalai Lama is a worth place which provides a breathtaking panoramic view of beautiful Leh valley. 17th century Leh palace, the victory tower on Namgyal hill and Tsemo Gompa monastery are the other places of tourist attractions in Leh.

• Kovalam- Situated in Kerala district, Kovalam is not far from Tiruvanantpuram, the capital of the state of Kerala. Kovalam`s three most popular crescent- shaped beaches- Light house beach (southern most), Hawah (middle beach) and the Samudra beach (northern most), water sports, coconut groves the palace castle Kovalam and Old Hawelies ( bungalow) are some of the main attractions that make this hill station a favorite hunt for Europeans. Colorful evenings of Kovalam become more colorful with the performances of the state’s classical dance-drama “Kath kali”. There are plenty of things such as famous rejuvenating Aurvedic massages, yoga and meditations that one can enjoy at Kovalam.
