Ganesh chaturthi is a famous festival in India. It is celebrated all over India. It is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha.it is a ten day long celebration that fall sometime around august or September. Ganesh chaturthi ,this year, is celebrated on September 21st. Classical dance, music performance, folk dances poetry are the main features of this festival.

During this festival ,beautiful idols of Lord Ganesh are worshipped at homes, and offerings are made to him. The offering are mainly Lord Ganesh favorite foods.

Huge idols are also too inserted in public places(about 20 feet).on the end of he day the idols are taken as rally and then immersed into the water bodies
