A Wonderful Trip to Singkawang. Once you see it’s hard to forget.
Two days ago I went to Singkawang with my uncle. We rode a bike from Pontianak, just both of us. The trip took for about 4 hours.
The road was very good, however we rode our bike not too fast, since we would like to enjoy our trip; looking at many exotic landscapes and many other beautiful sceneries we met during the trip.
We stopped for a while to take a rest in Pinyuh River. I looked for some food to eat, while my uncle drank coffee. We spent our time there for about half an hour. Pinyuh is a very calm and quiet place. No busy traffic you can find there.
We continued our trip to Singkawang after few minutes of having a rest. After some minutes of continuing riding the bike, we arrived in Kunyit River. We took a rest in a café, which was in the edge of the beach. The beach scenery is very beautiful. There were many kinds of fish we saw in the beach.
Feeling satisfied after enjoying the sceneries, we continued the trip again. After one and half our spending our time on the road, we arrived in Singkawang. The road was quite calm and safe; no traffic jam we found. We went to my boarding house. The landlord is very nice and kind to us. They prepared us some food and drink. We had a meal for a while there, putting our bag in the room, taking a rest in a few minutes, then we went around the city, having a look for some interesting places, such as church, temples, and valleys. We really enjoyed the visit in Singkawang.
Singkawang is a small but very exotic city in West Kalimantan. Once you visit this city, it’s hard for you to leave. There are so many ethnics lived in Singkawang, each of them gives contributes their culture respectively which makes Singkawang so colourful and dynamic. Besides, there are many interesting places to visit, such as Hong Kong Market, Pasir Panjang, Bougenville(flower park), Sinka Zoo, and much more.
We took around the city for a whole day long. It was exciting and fascinating experience for all of us during the school vacation.
