Japan Earthquake: Future of Technology Export

by Stewies Corner on 12/03/11 at 5:17 pm

How will these disasters affect the future of Japan’s main exports?

These past few days Japan has faced several disasters when a earthquake struck, followed by a tsunami then a possible nuclear explosion that blew up power plant area.

The massive 8.9 earthquake led to hundreds of casualties, and a amount of damage still unmeasurable in dollars.

Japan is known for their technology, leading world brands in electronic home entertainment systems as well as cars.

So within the near future, expect to have delays in new technology being released, as the country begins to rebuild.

Purchasing already released technology may not affect consumers as not all the designed technology gets made in Japan, but rather outsourced into other countries that can produce them cheaper, such as china.

But new designs from Japanese electronic entertainment and card industries are likely to take a delay, if they were impacted by the disasters.

Not all of japan is hit physically with these disasters, but the 3rd largest city was in the middle of it all, and the earthquake hit the capital, of Tokyo.

Our thoughts are with you Japan, and we wish you a speedy recovery.
