The Destiny of Swat Valley

The beauty of Swat attracted tourists from all corners of the world. The Rule of Shari at Law has created a thrust of fear in the valley which had prevented the flow of foreign tourists to the valley. The flourishing Hotel business of the common people has vanished and the economy degraded.  The common people of the valley became the worst suffers.

Militants like Taliban and Al=Qaeda had established a government of their own and administered the area under Islamic court  of  Sharia Law. The law did not permit female education in open Institute. They closed down number of girls’ schools in the valley

Swat, Switzerland of Pakistan

Swat Valley is an administrative district in the North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) of Pakistan.  It is beautiful by its nature bounded by its Lakes, Hills and ever green meadows. It is considered as the Switzerland of Pakistan. It was one of the earliest centers of Buddhist religion and culture. The footprints of the Buddha were preserved in Swat Museum.  Now Islam is the religion of the common people.
