Thinking of a tropical holiday? Head down to Boracay and be captivated by the island’s natural beauty. Endless fun and adventure awaits in this tropical paradise.

The gentle breeze caresses your face as you sip your favorite drink. You sit mesmerized, taking in the

beauty of the vast sea, its turquoise waters shining like jewels in the noonday sun. Complimented by the long stretch of powdery white sand, it makes for a perfect canvas. For a moment, all your cares vanish and you sit content, watching the world go by.  As the waves roll gently into the shore, a soothing rhythm envelops you and lulls you into reverie.

Welcome to a piece of paradise called Boracay!

Known the world over for its splendid beaches, the island is only about 7 kilometers long and 1083 hectares. Yet, it offers holiday seekers endless thrill with the varied range of water and land-based activities.  Diving, parasailing, banana boat ride, water skiing, glass bottom boat ride and windsurfing are readily at hand for the water enthusiasts. Of course, popular activities such as beach volleyball and Frisbee are not to be missed. For those interested to experience more of the island, trekking, exploring numerous caves, horseback riding or mountain biking is sure to delight and satisfy the senses. These activities also offer you the chance to mingle with locals and see first-hand their way of life.

Shopping for souvenirs must be on the itinerary. A leisurely stroll at D’Mall, a cluster of shops conveniently located near the various accommodation lets you take a pick at the wide array of items and goodies locally produced. Try to sample also the international cuisine offered by various eateries. And just when you feel weary with all the walking, you can always engage the services of skilled masseurs that are aplenty at the beach front.

Opting for a luxurious accommodation or working on a backpacker’s budget? There is an accommodation that suits everyone. Divided into 3 stations, vacationers can opt for a beach-front hotel or albeit secluded one, depending on personal preferences. It must be noted though that accommodation located at Station 2 offers closer proximity to bars and the night life.

The fastest way to reach Boracay is by air. There are regular flights from Manila to Kalibo Airport in Aklan. One can then take a 90-minute bus ride to Caticlan Jetty Port. Another alternative is to go for the smaller turbo planes that serve the Manila-Caticlan route, thus significantly cutting the travel time to Caticlan Jetty Port. The island is also accessible by both land and sea from Manila.

Much remains to be said of this island. Why not experience and discover it yourself?
