Explore, Experience, and be Enthralled of what Bohol, Philippines could offer.

It was my first time to visit the number one tourist destination in
the Philippines (Bohol) and I’m so proud to share everything I’ve
experienced in this wonderful place. This is also one way to promote
tourism in the Philippines.

On the 21st of February, we depart 11 pm from Cebu port going to
Tagbilaran via Fastcraft. It took 3 hours trip, but we stayed in the boat ’til 5 am. I went with my boyfriend and his family in this trip and I was able to bond with them. We took our mini van with us, so that means we did not went through the hassle of looking and haggling with taxi drivers or van operators.

On our first day, we had our breakfast somewhere in Tagbilaran port; it’s a burger station which they also serve Tapsilog. After that, we immediately hurried to our hotel in Panglao, unfortunately it took 2 hours for us to locate it. Along the way, we saw the Hinigdanan Cave, we drop by for a while and the entrance fee is Php25, inside the cave is a beautiful rock formation and there is a small body of water which forms like that of a swimming pool, they said that we can swim if we like to but we did not try it. We check in to Bohol Divers Resort, imagine the room cost only 800/day isn’t that great? We drove an hour from Panglao to Loboc river, and took our lunch there for 280/head (all you can eat!) the best thing is we experienced river cruising, and we’re able to hear the Loboc choir and saw the famous tarsier (the smallest monkey in the world).

The following day we went for dolphine watching, we started 6am, we need to hire a motorized boat for php2000 for the whole day. We were able to shot a video on those groups of dolphins as proof of how wonderful our nature is. We were able to visit their marine sanctuary in Balicasag. Since it was my first time, I was shaking because I don’t know how to swim but they put a life jacket on me and a snorkel, everything I’ve only seen in the movies was there, I saw Nemo (the clown fish), the corals were great, and the different colored fishes are there swimming together with me, of course you need to pay Php200 to experience those, it’s cheap huh! But your experience is a lifetime treasure. We had our lunch in that Island (Balicasag) though it is not that affordable but that was worth the price. We also went on island hopping in the afternoon and went on swimming, everything is a WOW! Me and my boyfriend enjoyed it a lot!.

In our last day, we went to Bohol Bee farm, we had a fam tour and after that we had our lunch, their food is quiet expensive but again it’s worth the price, the ambiance is remarkable, the food? well it is my first to eat a flower salad and I really love the dressing, We thought we’re going to eat a fried bee or bee steak (LOL), honestly their food are very delicious I couldn’t wait to go back there and experience it again, actually what I missed a lot? is their squash muffins it tasted really good. After that we went to Chocolate Hills, this is the landmark where Bohol is famous of, the place is breathtaking and you will see a lot of tourist around and I did try their wishing well, I threw a coin, I make a wish then I rang the bell(I wish I could go back there soon). After that we went to Sagbayan Peak the entrance fee is Php20, actually I like it much than the Chocolate Hills in Carmen, the place is full of amusement and you know what I was able to had pictures with bugs bunny, the t-rex, the lion and a lot more, It’s a wax display! They also have butterfly sanctuary. Actually we were able to locate those places with the help of our travel map; it did help us a lot! And that is the end of our Bohol trip.

With this wonderful trip, I and my boyfriend were able to spend quality time together and this is one of our treasured moments. Hope you enjoyed it! Try to visit this place, you will love it! I’m sure. :)
