The unspoiled paradise island of the Philippines. What you will enjoy, what to do, and what to see.

Sand As White As Snow

When I first landed in Tagbilaran the capital city of Bohol, Philippines I expected as most cities bustling with jeepneys and tricycles (motor cycles with covered sidecars) and was correct but a half our drive in taxi later we reached our destination. On the way, it becomes apparent that the beautiful tropic island of Panglau was undeveloped and only very few beach resorts or hotels cluttered the view or spoiled its natural beauty.

We arrived at our destination, I took a long walk on the beach, and there was simply no one except for few fishing boats. This place was the undiscovered paradise only in a dream. The small resort had the basics needed and comfortable quarters but the natural way this place caught my heart I hope that it never is ruined. Taking a swim in the bath warm water and the turquoise pristine view of the ocean was breath taking. The smell and sound of the gentle waves caressed my soul.

The resort offered some site seeing to near by wonders of Bohol. The 1726 church, the place where the Spanish signed the pact with the natives. Riverboat restaurants ride down river. The chocolate mountains a wonder of the world and finally yet importantly by no means holding a tarsier monkey that of which I read they supposedly just discovered on an island in Indonesia.

Conclusion

If you ever want the experience of a lifetime, take a trip to Bohol, Philippines one of the middle islands in the Visayas region of the Philippines. It is a short trip of one hour by plane from Manila and a very short flight from Cebu City or a 2-hour boat ride if you prefer.
