Here are the 10 tallest or highest waterfalls in the Philippines.
The Philippines is blessed for having numerous gifts of nature such as fine beaches, spectacular lakes, awesome diving sites, astounding waterfalls and many other geographical wonders. There are plenty of waterfalls in the country that are popular tourist attractions.
1.) Aliwagwag Falls: Davao Oriental – 1,110 ft

The highest waterfall in the country is the 388-meter high Aliwagwag Falls, in Cateel, Davao Oriental. The cascade has 13 rapids and looks like a stairway with 84 steps of varying heights. This towering waterfall is regarded as one of the most awesomely beautiful falls not only in Mindanao but in the entire archipelago as well. This wonder-fall in Davao Oriental with an over-all height of 1,110 ft is situated in the middle of a virgin forest.
2.) Limunsudan Falls: Lanao Del Norte – 870 ft

The second highest waterfall in the country is Limusudan Falls. It is located in Barangay Rogongon, Iligan City. This two-tiered falls have a combined height of 870 feet. Its lower cascade alone measures 400 feet, higher than the entire height of Maria Cristiana Falls.
3.) Busay Falls –797 ft

Busay Falls is a beautiful and attractive waterfall consisting of 7 stages. The total height of this waterfall is 243 meters with an average width of 6 meters. Busay Falls is the 4th tallest waterfalls in the Philippines. These lovely waterfalls lie on the Loboc River in Bohol. The river and the waterfalls are amongst the major tourist destinations of Bohol. Local and foreigners alike enjoy the winding river while on board on small bancas or floating restaurants.
4.) Abaga Falls: Lanao Del Norte – 640 ft

The 3rd tallest waterfall in the archipelago is Abaga Falls. The falls are located 15 km southwest of Iligan City, Lanao Del Norte. The height of this waterfall is twice the height of the more popular and accessible Maria Cristina Falls. This natural wonder can be reached only through hiking.

I was not able to visit Maria Cristina and Tinago Falls in Iligan,but I did see Buru-un Falls…lovely too. Seen another waterfall somewhere in Misamis Oriental, but forgot its name. It’s got several shallow drops and a tall drop in the lowest level. Nice post.

I assume this list is top 10 famous waterfalls, not highest. I wonder how Can-umantad Falls of Bohol will fare in your list.
