Here are the 10 largest Philippine cities in terms of population.

The Philippines has 122 cities. Biñan City, in the province of Laguna, is the newest city in the country. The smallest city in the Philippines is Palayan City, the capital of Nueva Ecija.

1.) Quezon City: Quezon City Memorial Circle

Quezon City, with a population of more than 2.6 million, is the largest in the country in terms of population. In Metro Manila, it is the largest city in population and land area. It was the former capital of the Philippines from 1948 to 1976 and is home to the Batasang Pambansa.

Quezon City Memorial Circle is a national park and shrine dedicated and named after Manuel L. Quezon, the first Philippine President of the Commonwealth.

Manila, with a population of over 1.6 million, is the 2nd largest city in the Philippines and the present capital of the country. It is the most densely populated city in the country and one of the most densely populated in the world. Manila is home to the Malacañan Palace, the official residence of the Philippine President.

Rizal Park, more popularly known as Luneta, is a park dedicated to the national hero of the country – Dr. Jose P. Rizal.

3.) Caloocan City: Bonifacio Monument

Caloocan, with almost 1.4 people, in Metro Manila is the 3rd most populous city in the Philippines. It is the 3rd most densely populated in the country and the hometown of Andres Bonifacio the founder of Katipunan.

The Monument of Bonifacio in Balintawak was sculpted by Guillermo Tolentino, a national artist.

4.) Davao City: Mount Apo

Davao City, with approximately 1.36 million people, is the 4th most populated city in the Philippines. The city is the most populous city in Mindanao and is regarded as the country’s largest city in terms of land area.
