One of the few natural wonders that was able to preserve its biodiversity.

As marine resources dwindle elsewhere, Tubbataha Reefs in the Philippines is one of the few marine sanctuaries in the world that is able to preserve its beauty and marine biodiversity as well. It is one of the major tourist attractions that the Philippines is proud of.

Today, it is vying as one of the Seven Wonders of the World and it is already included in the Top 10 pick by online voters.

Undeniably, Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is a haven for divers and nature lovers who wants to commune with Mother Earth and Nature. It represents a unique example of pristine atoll reef, with a very high diversity of fish. It is home to some of the most beautiful coral reefs in the world, thus making it a sanctuary of astonishing marine life.

Biodiversity

After more than twenty years of conservation efforts, Tubbataha Reefs Natural Park is home to no less than:

  • 483 species of fish
  • 396 species of corals (about half of all coral species in the world)
  • 44 species of birds
  • 9 species of dolphins & whales
  • Nesting Hawksbill & Green sea turtles

The park contains roughly 10,000 hectares of coral reef, lying at the heart of the coral triangle – the centre of global marine biodiversity.
