Russia, Algeria and Turkmenistan will supply 150 T-90 tanks, worth 500 million dollars, business daily Vedomosti reports Tuesday, citing sources close to the arms exporting company.
Rosoboronexport, Russian company in charge of arms exports, closed in summer and autumn of 2011 contracts to deliver 30 T-90 tanks and 120 tanks Turkmenistan Algeria, two countries “who are afraid of revolutions” that affect the Arab world, writes daily quote.
The total value of these contracts is to rise to 500 million dollars.
In 2010, Russia has already delivered ten vehicles of this type Turkmenistan and 185 Algeria, according to the publication.
“These contracts were concluded amid increasing volatility after the revolutions of Tunisia and Egypt and war in Libya,” said one source close to Rosoboronexport.
Russian Army refuses to buy these tanks due to their high price and poor quality compared to similar models German and Israeli.
In addition to Turkmenistan, Russia negotiated the delivery of such tanks and other former Soviet republics, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, and Indonesia, according to Vedomosti.

Looking at the pic made me nervous. It’s like these tanks would be used in a war. The thought makes me cringe.
