     Singapore was a simple fishing village, but now Singapore is the modern city of the world.It is island. It was the British colony and after 1963 it became one of the part of Malaysian federation. Now it progressed to an independent republic of Singapore since 1965.Total population of island is around 4.7 millions. The official languages are English,Malay,Tamil, and Chinese. But in school they use English as the medium. The main official language is Malay as some historical reason. But the main promoted language is the English after its independence. There Chinese,Indian and Malay people are staying. Singapore is popular city for travelling and tourism. The Singapore Dollar is the currency of Singapore.(S$)

Singapore has multi-religious people. About 51% of people believe in Buddhism and Taoism. Indian Muslims are about 15%. Sikhism,Hinduism are also there.

    The Metro Paragon is one on the department store in Singapore. I had been to Singapore a month back. I enjoyed much there. I found one good shop there.

Singapore consists of 63 islands. There are two connection, constructed by human to Johor and Malaysia. The highest place of the city is “Bukit Timah Hill. It has about 170 m height.
