Climate of Taiwan- The climate of Taiwan is tropical. The reason for this is because of how it is near the equator. Taiwan’s climate may be different in some parts. For example Taiwan has mountains that has snow and is cold due to the altitude.

Plants and Animals in Taiwan- The plants and animals that live in Taiwan are deer, boars, monkeys, goats, pigeons, and many other animals you may see in America. The plants that grow in Taiwan are palms, bamboos, junipers, Japanese cedars, and evergreens. All these various plants can grow in Taiwan because of the various climates in different locations. Taiwan has many varieties of birds. They have recorded 500 species of birds in Taiwan. Many of the birds are filled with colors and are beautiful.

Effects of Climate- Because Taiwan is relatively hot where humans live, humans dress in shorts most of the time. Temperatures can reach up to 190 degrees in the summer. In the winter it is warm. People dress in light jackets in the winter. The warm climate helps produce tropical fruits and plants. Because of the fruits such as mangos that grow in Taiwan, people eat them. Agriculture is one of the main works for rural people in Taiwan. People in Taiwan grow many things to eat and sell. Farmers grow rice, beans, bamboo, and many other edible goods. Because of the long working hours in the sun farmers dress differently. Farmers usually wear large rimmed hats, loose shirts and pants.

Famous Taiwanese scientist- Some famous Taiwanese scientists are Steve Chen, David Ho, Henry Lee, and many other people. These people are famous in science for medical researching, medical doctor, computer designing, being major chemist, and forensic experts.

Taiwanese immigrant diseases- There were many diseases in Taiwan that effected immigrants. Some diseases were SARS, AIDS, rabies, malaria, small pox and many more. Many of these diseases killed people and immigrants had trouble.
