Anecdote “Guatemala’s Thematic Parks”

A short anecdote on a trip I made a few years ago to the two biggest attraction parks in my country, Guatemala.
I remember that when I was 8 I went with my family to Retalhuleu, a department of my country Guatemala. We went there because my brothers and I wanted to visit Xetulul and Xocomil, two thematic parks, so our parents decided to take us there. We had already been to Xocomil twice before but never to Xetulul because it was brand new. My 3 uncles and their families also went with us there. We got there by the most common way of traveling, by car of course, and I must say that the three hours sitting on the car were worth it, it was a lot of fun sharing there with my whole family, and it’s definitely a good place for a vacation. Because there is the IRTRA hotel right in front of the two parks we stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights. We spent most of the time in the parks because they are the biggest attraction there, and if we weren’t in the parks we went to the hotel swimming pool. At nights we used to go to the games room at the hotel and play ping pong or pool.
Sometimes there’s even a disco in the hotel but only for grown ups, and because we were children we didn’t go there. I remember everybody of my family having a really great time and if there was someone who didn’t enjoy the trip as much as the others; it was probably my father, who does not like to depend on other people. I have been there two times since that vacation, both with my family, the only difference is that we didn’t stay as long as that time.
