Visit the hottest islands in the Caribbean for Spring Break 2009.
Spring Break 2009 may seem far ahead but now is the time to start saving. People are always looking for new places to visit besides the usual: South Florida, Southern California, South Padre Island, Myrtle Beach. Many people want to experience life beyond the borders of the United States. Why not visit the lush green tropical islands of the Caribbean that are a filled with beautiful sandy beaches and dancing palm trees.
Jamaica
The towns of Montego Bay, Ocho Rios and Negril are perfect vacation spots. There are so many hotels in these towns and you definitely can find an all inclusive hotel for you and your friends. Riu Palace Tropical Bay Resort is a lovely all inclusive resort in Negril and start at about $73USD per night. The hotel is on the beach and about 50 miles from the airport in Montego Bay. Guests have the opportunity to indulge in games of golf, tennis and even water sports such as jet skiing, snorkeling and sunfish sailing. The food is wonderful and be sure to try all the Jamaican cuisine. It is well worth it.
St. Kitts
St. Kitts is one of the Caribbean’s best kept secret. It is a relatively small islands but there is so much to do. I recommend that guest start at the Royal St. Kitts Marriott Beach Resort. It is a 5 star hotel with great pricing. The drinking age is 18 on the island and also you have to be 18 years old to enter the on-site casino at the hotel. Calypso Restaurant located inside the hotel also has a fabulous breakfast buffet that is to die for. The hotel has its own private beach. If you want a Spring Break that is relaxing but fun, St. Kitts is the place for you and your friends. Again, the Caribbean cuisine is wonderful and is a must-try.
St. Maarten
The Dutch island of St. Maarten is a wonderful location for Spring 2009. My recommendation is to stay at the MAHO Hotel. Maho is a beautiful little area on the island, that reminds me of Vegas with an island twist. The seafood at the restaurants there are simply exceptional. Another thing worth witnessing is going to the beach next to the airport to look at the planes land and take off. The planes fly so low over the beach that you can almost touch them. It is a spectacular scene and worth seeing.
