Jamaica’s Beaches

Description of some of the beautiful and breathtaking beaches of which there are many.
There are endless ways to enjoy the luxuries of Jamaica. Its beaches are unforgettable. You may prefer one filled with people and activity or one that is secluded and peaceful. But why not experience the best of both. There are many advantages to visiting a beach in Jamaica that is distant from any tourist spot or town. One place where you can enjoy those advantages is the San San Beach. This private beach is close to Frenchman’s Cove. San San is a long stretch of white sand. Just off its shore you can explore the various small reefs which are perfect for snorkeling or scuba diving adventures. The underwater beauty is as appealing to the eye as the stretch of white sand itself.
Visitors searching for a bit of seclusion withing the hustle of Jamaica will be drawn to the San San Beach. In addition to the underwater vistas tourists find the fishing and windsurfing here a great experience. If time permits you might enjoy the relaxation of San San on a Monday and head for another on Tuesday. Jamaica is known for the variety of experiences it offers. Navy Island is a place with all the modern amenities which is accessed via the 24 hour per day shuttle boat service. It offers breathtaking pristine beaches and hotels and restaurants also. You can explore a panoply of marine life snorkeling right off the shores. Move at a relaxing pace from beaches and underwater fun to an outstanding restaurant where you will dine in luxury on fine cuisine. Twenty five miles to the Southwest is Naggo Head a beach filled to the brim with activity and other tourists. The Fairy Hill Beach which is a little over a mile away from San San Beach draws a combination of locals and the tourist crowd. The crowds are at a minimum during the week and the snorkeling is prime at the small offshore reef located there. One drawback is you must bring your own gear. For a great snack of local cuisine there is a smallish restaurant serving fantastic vegetarian and Jamaican jerk dishes suitable for an afternoon snack after playing in the water.
Windsurfing allows you to catch the waves in a whole new way. This theatrical sport requires some breaking in with a little assistance before you are ready to “take off” on your own. You will find yourself cruising along and enjoying the thrill of a lifetime. If you are like most holidaymakers, there is no room in your suitcase for an extra swimsuit much less any scuba gear. The resort you stay at can provide whatever you require to participate in all the exhilarating water sports. At Sunscape Casa del Mar and Casita Plaza you can rent all the necessary equipment. They can also schedule your activities at the time of your choice. Jamaica is a welcoming wonderful place for all the enjoyment one can hope to find while visiting this tropical paradise.
You’ll want to return next year. The memories of your first visit will keep you dreaming of a second and perhaps third vacation in this lovely Jamaica that has so much to offer.
