Panama City Beach Attractions: Best Places to Go During Summer Break

I’m going to list some of the absolute BEST attractions in Panama City Beach.

First off. I will start with one that isn’t all that great for the price, but is SO worth the time spent. It is called Ripoffley’s – Believe It or Not! 4D theater. It is actually called Ripley’s Believe It or Not, but I call it Ripoffley’s because off the cost.

The people that work at Ripley’s want to charge you a 20 something dollar admission fee, PLUS another 8 to 20 dollar fee depending on age, and what you go to. There is a museum and a 4 dimesional theater. In the 4D theater, you sit on a bench seat, along with other people, in front of a HUGE screen. You get lifted up several feet high into the air. For example, if you went to see a plane fly, the bench would tilt which ever way the plane flew, forwards, backwards, left, right, or a combination of those. I have not yet been in the museum, but Ripley’s sure does sound like fun, even though it’s a alot of money. For more information: http://www.ripleyspanamacitybeach.com/home.html

Now, onto the next one. One that is probably the most exciting attraction, for both tourists and locals, GO KARTS. There are several tracks, but I am only going to tell about one. This one has A LOT of steep hills. You can go about 5-7 laps around for $8.50 for a single rider. Minimum age is 10. Can you guess which one I’m talking about? I’m not going to give you time to try and guess out of the 10’s of tracks in Panama City Beach. It’s the Super Speed Fun Park. They don’t have a website, but from the reviews and experience, it’s THE BEST. You don’t know what you are missing out on if you don’t go here! There are batting cages, skee ball, a year-round haunted house, an arcade, drag racing (you need a driver’s license), AND MORE! This place is AWESOME. You gotta come visit Super Speed Fun Park!

One more thing. Pier Park. Don’t get confused by the name, it’s not actually the usual “Come on, honey. Let the kids play” park. It’s a SHOPPING park. I know, right? What a weird idea, to name a shopping center a “Park”. My opinion, is that they call it a park because it isn’t like a regular shopping center with Publix, a haircut place, an icecream place, and things like that. It’s kind of layed out like a park, and a maze. We got lost trying to get out of that place. Pier Park is ALWAYS filled with TONS of people. There are a lot of restaurants, like Red Robins, some other hamburger places, a “kid classic” candy store (with delicious chocolates, chocolate covered strawberries, and other things), a Back Porch seafood and oyster house (I had the Shrimp and Crab Meat linguine (AND IT WAS GREAT!). Aren’t I making you hungry? Fine. Next are the shops. There is an Olive Garden (I know, not a shop). There is a T-Shirt store, with A LOT of Panama City Beach Shirts, Caps (hats), and other fassion accessories. I know, I’m making you want to come here, aren’t I? Here is a picture incase you are wondering what it looks like (well, I couldn’t hold back, so, here is a bunch):
