The jewel of the Caribbean is Aruba. At 32 kilometers long, Aruba is an island which is part of Lesser Antilles. The Spaniards originally discovered the island. Later on, the Dutch captured Aruba and then it became part of Kingdom of Netherlands under Queen Beatrix.

The western and southern shores of the Caribbean island of Aruba are known as the Turquoise Coast. Of the beaches in this area, Palm Beach and Eagle Beach (which is the closer of the two to Oranjestead) are the best without a doubt. The beaches are public and are not owned by any of the hotels along the strip. However, if you use any of the facilities owned by the hotels, you will have to pay a fee.
