The weather is cold in Bulgaria. Bulgaria has an interesting history. They won a lot of medals in the Summer Olympics. The official colors are green, white, and red. Bulgaria is an interesting country.

If Turkey won Bulgaria would give their land to Turkey. Turkey ended up winning. Bulgaria went and told their friend Russia. Russia came and has a war with Bulgaria. Bulgaria got their land back. Russia forced turkey to give Bulgaria independence. Bulgaria got their independence. This took place in 1877-1878. Bulgaria took Germany’s side in World War 1. Then fought on the side of World War 2. Bulgaria wasn’t only competitive in wars but also in the Summer Olympics.
Bulgaria won many medals in the Summer Olympics. Bulgaria won 49 gold medals, 83 silver medals, and 72 bronzes. Some sports they played were soccer, swimming, shooting, basketball, wrestling, and boxing. Bulgaria has a lot of medals. They also have a lot of holidays.
Bulgaria has a lot of holidays. They mostly have the same holidays as the United States, just different days. In Bulgaria, Christmas is on December 24, 25, and the 26. Independence day is on September 22. Bulgaria celebrates a day called Bulgarian Army Day and this day is on May 16th. Easter is on April 23 and 24. All these holidays has a custom. On each of these days, Bulgarians get together as a family. On a day called Harvest Day a lot of Bulgarians come together as a family. They dance and Sing. In Bulgaria, there are many things to do.
