Accurate detailed information about life in various European countries.

Venturing past our nations borders use to be the trend of adventurous young Americans seeking a reprieve from school.  However, with the advent of technology, an unstable economy and the rapid changes of our world, more and more Americans are looking for places and spaces where they can get more bang for the buck.

Back in 2003, when the world was still a friendly place, I gave myself the greatest birthday gift ever.  I began my life in Europe.  Oddly, the hardships endured have little to do with language barriers in some cases.  It is more political and economic.  As many of you know, the EU (European Union) was ideally to unite the countries of Europe but in reality, spells woe for those who join (some more than others).  It also means difficulty for Americans working abroad.  Although not impossible, it is common place for an employer to need you desperately and yet, cut you off simply because you are non EU/EEC.

However, we Americans are creative and enterprising in the face of as adversity and there are actually some places we are admired or welcomed.  The successful jobs hinge on the natural.  Teaching English, working in hospitality, even organizing American activities and clubs have made their niche in European society.  Over the next few months, there will be a series of articles produced about specific countries and the “unique way of life” encountered.

As a follow-up to the next article, can you guess which country -
