Trifter

The French Riviera another of the wonderful places I visited on my extended European Holiday. I had seen images of it on television, as well as having read about it in any number of books I cared to think of. My fondest memory before seeing it was in Agatha Christie’s Murder Mystery Stories with Hercule Poirot as the detective. As our tour bus arrived, I saw what could only be described as an expensive and luxurious piece of paradise. It was a beautiful day as the sun shone over the ocean making it sparkle before my eyes. Unfortunately I didn’t have long to appreciate its natural beauty which was a bit disappointing. I greedily stared at my surroundings so I could honestly say I hadn’t missed anything. The buildings looked regal and expensive  as they stood before me. I thought of all the stories they could tell about the rich and famous. I knew that if I ever had wealth beyond my wildest dreams  I would buy a house and live there.

Even the shops were amazing as the sold every product imaginable. It was as though they were a hive of activity with people buying and selling what they needed. As I left and continued on with my tour I vowed I would return and when I did I would stay as long as I needed to appreciate such a glorious place.
