The French Alps pretty interesting place for a vacation. I was assigned a project to tell you the history,things to do, and what is going on right now in the Alps and oh yeah 3 major cities. Which I and Alicia my partner have decided to do one of them is Gernoble.another one is Briancon. One is Chamois and the last one is Lyon     The Alps are well known for their mountains full of white snow almost all year round perfect for snowboarding skiing and any other snow sport you can think of.  It is also known for a cable car that goes quite far across the Alps.But that is only on the tops of the mountains down in the valleys they are known for cayning which is canyon walking and climbing. The weather in the alp is obviously snowy this time of year.Some of the history of the Alps they were discovered          Four major cities lets see Chamonix, Briancon, Gernoble, and Lyon. First Chamonix which is well known for its glaciers and magnificent views and magnifect falls. Stills holds some old traditions of farms and churches and such but other wise is some what modernized. Now for Briancon which is known for its forts and being the highest town in Europe and being a fortress town because it is so high up and the top half is fully walled all the way up the lower level you can see from the ground. The forts are sitting at a strategic four point valley.Now for Gernoble which is known for being the capital of the French Alps and its 2050 years of history wow. And also its cable car which gives a magnificent view of Gernoble. Its many museums showing its history and La Casamaures which means a “palace of grey gold”. now last but not Least Lyon which is the regional capital it is also home to a sports club called Olymique Lyon(Sports Fan). And its renaissance building and museums. The Rhone and Saone Rivers flow right throw Lyon.     Okay some more things to do in the Winter is obviously snowboard and ski and other snow sports. In the summer you can hike and go camping in certain areas. And in the canyons you can go canyoning or canooing because there are rivers and canyons and rock walls and many other thing to do and climb down there.      Snowboarding to rock climbing and hiking to swimming everything you need is in the Alps in France so visit this place sometime really nice place just make sure you ahve quite a bit of money because one US dollar equals 0.782095 euros so yah have quite a bit of money because one dollar in US doesnt even equal a dollar in France.
