On my third visit to Munich Germany I was looking for something to see and do that perhaps I had missed on previous trips, and I came across the Bavarian Film Studios.

The studios are situated in Geiselgasteig, part of the Munich suburb of Gruwalda, and it is easily accessable by public transport.

These photos are of the 3D scenery which stands at the entrance to the studio. There is a tour of the studio where you get to see the lot, the sets of various films and even partake in a “filming” of a scene.

Famous films made in the Bavarian Film Studios include “Never ending story”, and you can even sit on the flying dog and be filmed against a green screen. Also the film about a submarine “Das Boot” was made here, and you get to go inside the submarine. There is also a tour available with a stunt show!
