Here are my picks for favorite places for you to visit in Rome.

Istanbul, Amsterdam and Rome. These three beautiful city are my favourite places on the Earth. I feel lucky because I live in Turkey and see all the beauty in Istanbul. Another luck of me is that I work for an airline company and they send me various cities as a free of charge every year. I was in Rome two years ago where I made a lot of Italian friends. I visited very fantastic places and took gorgeous photos. This article is for people who wants to travel to Rome one day. Here is my favourite places that I want you to see.

After all, you know that Rome is famous with fountains. Most of the them date back to Mediveal ages. There are also many historical places dating from Roman empire times. Our tour begins with Colosseum.

Colosseum

Colossal construction located in the centre of Rome. It is the largest building constructed by Roman Empire and it is one of the most well-known architectural structures of Romans. This big structure is also called Flavian Amphitheatre.

Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica

It is also known as Saint Mary Major Basilica. Ancient catholic basilica dates back from 5th century. Many of the mosaics are also from this period. Old basilica was restored many times throughout centuries.

Cestius Pyramid

The pyramid of Cestius was constructed by famous Roman Emperor Augustus between BC 18 and 12. It was made of marbles with a height of 30 meters. It is near to the Protestant cemetery.

Trevi Fountain

It is located in famous Trevi square. It was constructed by Nicola Salvi and Bernini between 1732 and 1762. People throw the coins on to the water and then makes wishes. It is one of the good examokes of Baroque style.
