The absolutely beautiful Italian cities of Venice, Florence and Rome have been featured in many memorable romantic movies and justifiably so, as any couple who have honeymooned in Italy will tell you. Each of these historic cities have their own special set of attractions for tourists, but they all have one thing in common, they just ooze with the fantastic feeling of romance.

Take a boat and experience the grandeur and beauty of the enchanting canal of Venice. Observe the masterpieces of Renaissance architecture along with vintage buildings.
The beautiful gondolas that pass through the canal waterways also provide an incredibly romantic feeling. There is the Ca d’Oro, a Gothic edifice that radiates classic beauty and timeless elegance with its heavy Byzantine influences.

St Mark’s Square is the centre of activity in Venice and is a landmark location for the Basilica di San Marco which has many features in gold which are embellished with expensive jewels. The Basilica’s Bell Tower, an imposing architectural marvel erected in the 9th century provides a spectacular vista of St Mark’s Square and the surrounding churches.

Venice is a most picturesque montage of classic art, immortal beauty, Victorian sophistication and a seamless architectural heritage, which basks in the glow of timeless love and romance.
Visit Florence, one of the most beautiful cities in Italy and the centre of Italian Renaissance.

Florence’s cathedral stands tall over the city. The church of Santa Maria del Fiore, the cathedral of Florence is a vast Gothic structure built at the end of the 13th century by Arnolfo di Cambio and the huge dome, which dominates the exterior, was added in the 15th century.

Florence’s museums, palaces and churches house some of the greatest artistic treasures in the world. And the library of San Lorenzo is a most magnificent exhibition of Michelangelo’s architectural genius.
A breathtaking view of Rome can be seen from Gianicolo. Rome can be seen in all its beauty, on this popular hillside that is always full of a romantic atmosphere.

Only a short distance from the famous Bocca della Verita, is a little road, Clivio dei Publici, which climbs up the Aventino hill. This area which is in the heart of Rome is the quietest place in the city.
As you walk towards the top, you will get glimpses of the dome of Saint Peter. Walk towards the end of this secluded road and try peeping into a keyhole in a large gate. The most charming view of Saint Peter’s will appear to you, framed by the keyhole and two lines of rose bushes. The rose garden below is full of the scent of thousands of flowers.
If you are looking for a romantic evening accompanied by music, then the best place is Villa Celimontana, where the jazz festivals take place during the summer. Around the small amphitheatre you will find tables placed where you can emjoy a glass of excellent Italian wine with a light meal.
