Holland had to be one of the most delightful countries on my European tour. I can honestly say that I had few, if any, expectations of what it would look like and how I would react once I saw it in all its glory. When I arrived and stepped off the tour bus I was amazed to see that everything around me was so lifelike yet also appeared to be something  out of a child’s fairy tale. I already knew the Dutch people rode their bikes everywhere they went and this was confirmed when I noticed numerous bikes tied up, waiting for their owner to return to collect them and ride home.

I travelled on the river that same afternoon to the restaurant where I was to have dinner at what turned out to be an Indonesian restaurant. I remember thinking how clean and magical everything looked as the boat drifted slowly to muy destination. I had not been in Holland long before it was time to leave and continue on with the tour. It was disappointing in a way as I had not been given much of an opportunity to thoroughly experience the country and its culture as I would have liked. What I did experience was wonderful as it gave me a taste and a desire to return some day and travel around the country at my own pace.

In conclusion I would truely recommend travelling toHolland as it is a such a delightful country that it is well worth a visit.
