Best Places to Visit in Romania

Romania is definitely a hell of a country. It is one of the most beautiful European countries, and its traditions and places are unique in the world.

With more than 2000 years of history, nowadays in Romania –this little, but astonishing country from the middle-east Europe- there are still lots of spectacular places that worth to be visited.

The first place you are likely to encounter when you reach Romania is the city of Bucharest. At one time, it was compared to Paris, but there is now much poverty among the local people, and the damage done by ill-advised redevelopment projects during Ceausescu’s rule, has destroyed much of what once made this city great. Many historic buildings were torn down, displacing the unique fusion of influences from France and Turkey, and replacing it with bland communist tower blocks. This is a city of extremes, and you are likely to find luxury and riches alongside shocking deprivation, but it is the historic character of the city that you will no longer see here.

Piatra Neamt is also named the “Pearl of Moldavia”, which is a Romanian region. Surrounded by mountains, and quite close to Ceahlau – the most important mountain and also the highest, in this region- this town has various attraction points like museums, “Turnul lui Stefan cel Mare”- a tower built by Stephen the Great, tele-gondola on the above of the city, a beautiful lake nearby and so on. Piatra Neamt is definitely a must-visit place!

Next, Mamaia is the capital of the fun during the whole summer. As it is placed on the Romanian beach, Mamaia attracts people from all over the world, people who are looking for the time of their life. And they definitely have it, cause the Romanians are a nation of beautiful people- especially the ladies!

Also, Brasov is another place in Romania that must be visited. The Black Church and “Poiana Brasov” are the most known attraction points from Brasov. The first one is a gigantic catholic cathedral where people can come and listen to orga concerts, and the second one is a place near Brasov that is very popular among the turists due to the beauties that are all around it. Though, tourists must be really careful in this area cause, usually, bears come from the forests into the town, and if they are pissed off, they might attack people.

Romania is definitely a beautiful country and it has many more places that worth to be visited.
