1.) Magic Fountain of Montjuïc – Spain

One of the most magnificently created fountains in the world is the Magic Fountain of Montjuïc in Avenida Maria Cristina, Barcelona in Catalonia, Spain. It was built for the 1929 Barcelona International Exposition and is situated below the Palau Nacional on the Montjuïc Hill and close to the Placa d’Espanya.

The Magic Fountain is an illuminated fountain that can be viewed at night in alternating different and vibrant colors.

More than 3000 workers were utilized to complete this amazing architectural feat. The fountain was first successfully exhibited on May 19, 1929.

It was badly damaged during the Spanish Civil War and was neglected until 1955. As an innovation, music was incorporated with the light show and the fountain in the 1980s. Together with the Museu Nacional, it was completely restored prior to the 1992 Summer Olympics.

All elaborate fountains kabayan. I was told that last one in Saudi Arabia isn’t water but crude oil. However I knew it couldn’t be because the color seemed so pure.
