AMER’S Restaurant is part of the Jesmond Hotel in Newcastle upon Tyne.  It is chic boutique type of restaurant, where maitre d’ Charles patrons feel relaxed and at home immediately.

It offers a relaxed space with soft lighting complementing the creamy colour scheme that is punctuated by chocolate brown chairs and beech wood tables.  Amer’s serves modern British haute cuisine.

The king prawn and crab ravioli is always superb as is the crispy belly pork salad with sage beignets, served with a herb and mustard sauce.

Many diners go for the roasted loin and confit of lamb, accompanied by silverskin onions, asparagus spears, chanterelles and creamy mash.

Another popular meal is the supreme of salmon with crushed potatoes and broad beans.

Meals can be finished with a toffee and apple pie, served with gingerbread ice cream or the equally delicious pear frangipane and amaretto ice cream.

Amer’s is open from noon to 14:00 on Mondays to Saturdays and noon to 15:00 and 18:00 to 21:00 on Sundays.

Customers may be able to find street parking nearby if they are lucky and the restaurant is fully accessible to disabled diners.
