Flooded by The Council

Plughole problems.

For a whole year, we experienced other peoples bath water coming up through our bathtub and on some occasions, food. When we told our local Resident Management Organization (RMO) office about it, they said the problem was to do with our in-home plumbing, but six different plumbers inspected our bath and said it was the main pipe that joins all the residents in the block. The plumbers even left certificates to proof that the blockage wasn’t in our home.

However, though we showed these certificate to the office managers, they still insisted that the problem was from within our home. They even accused us of causing the blockage by putting food down the sink which is something we don’t do. This next video will show what we experienced for a year.

Our local RMO office were giving us no help at all in dealing with this problem so we contacted another department, a response team. Within ten days of calling them they turned up and jetted the whole block. It turns out that the blockage was the councils responsibility and not ours. We also discovered that the main pipes were connected wrongly and that’s why we were receiving other residents waste.

However, while the response team were jetting the pipes they ended up flooding us, but what was also a worry is that thick black mud that looked like crude oil gushed up through our bath and from under it. It even came through parts of our walls. This video shows you what happened.

For so many years, Lambeth council have failed us in so many ways and have still continued to do so.
