Vatican Compares Leaks Compromising The Wikileaks Case

Vatican spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi,

Vatican spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi, said that repeated leaks of confidential documents are designed to discredit the Holy See and transparency efforts of Pope Benedict XVI, when comparing the situation with Wikileaks.

“We need strong nerves. It takes a cool and calm and must be rational,” Vatican spokesman added.

Many confidential documents containing allegations of corruption against the Vatican were presented in the Italian press last week.

“The leaking of documents tend to confuse and put the Vatican, Church Government and Church herself in a bad light,” said the spokesman.
Father Lombardi assured that financial austerity and transparency promised by Benedict XVI will continue.

“Violence and the current attacks are a sign that there is an important issue,” said the spokesman.

Good, the Vatican should be made accountable for all the abuse to children over the years. If they honestly wanted to make amends, they would stand up and confess.
