I am from Lithuania. It’s a small country in Europe. Seven months ago I was standing in an Airport and saying good bye to all my friends. Just in the airplane I realized that I might not see them anymore, but I also was really exited because it’s my first time I was going to fly a plane. Not just 1 plane. 4 planes!

                      The first plane was Karmelava- London. This wasn’t what I expected. I wanted it to be fun but instead I had to suffer an hour flight with big pressure pressing my ears. It was a bad experience for me. When we landed in London it was very difficult because everything was written in English. My mom doesn’t speak English so I had to translate everything for her. We had to go and receive our Baggage. It was really disappointing, someone have stolen a box of “Raffaello” candy!

                      Then we had to get to another airport in London. It was called Heathrow Airport. Another person from the same Plane helped us buy some tickets for a bus. I wasn’t ready yet to ask someone in English, my blocked ears from the last flight was an obstacle. We waited for the bus a few hours. And when we started going I was a bit scared because the Bus driver was going the left-side of the road! I was very sleepy but I couldn’t fall asleep when we were going the wrong side. When we arrived to the Heathrow I asked the driver how to find “Terminal 3”. Took a while till we found it.

                      The second plane was London- Singapore. That’s what I’m talking about! Singapore airlines are the best! After the experience of the last plane, this plane was amazing. They have these small Monitors and you can watch movies, play games, follow the flight route and look up prices and weather.  Anyway the first thing in the list was sleep.

                      When we arrived to Singapore I wasn’t really happy because we had to quickly change Airplane. I thought we could walk around, go swimming or relax somehow.

                      The third plane was Singapore- Auckland. I liked the last plane more, this one was a bit older, not as modern. But the flight wasn’t as long as the last one either so I guess that was ok.                    Auckland! Finally in New Zealand! I was so happy! We arrived at night but it was still warm because it was summer. But it was winter when I left Lithuania.

                      That’s not it, My Final destination was Christchurch. A Domestic flight to Christchurch from Auckland was our last flight. It wasn’t as difficult as the last 3 flights. Actually it was like a bus. No one even checked any passports. It was a sunny day, so I saw my first New Zealand sights from the Airplane. It took only an hour, maybe less and we arrived to Christchurch. My dad was waiting for us.

                      It took 3 weeks for my ears to unblock. And a few months to get used to my second language English.
