Thinking of a holiday to these countries? Well, you might want to think again…

Travelling is a great past-time among humans for a long time. Whether it is travelling to a foreign country or to another state, it is definitely something many of us like to do. Thinking of a holiday to these countries? Well, you might want to think again when there are dangers to it. Terrorism, war, and high crime rate are some of the perils you might have to face when travelling here. We have collected these data from a poll carried out recently and these are the results.

1. Afghanistan – The Unofficial breeding ground for terrorists. If you don’t mind being robbed at night and being just a few meters away from a bomb blast, this destination is just for you!

2. Pakistan – Osama bin Laden, the world’s most wanted terrorist was found hiding in a compound near Pakistan’s top military facility. “Nuff said”.

3. Somalia – Quote from Wikitravel.org “WARNING: Somalia is not safe for independent travel or sightseeing due to armed conflict between Government forces and Islamist insurgents, kidnappings, warlording, and piracy. Those visiting for business, research or international aid purposes should consult with their organization and seek expert guidance before planning a trip. Also, the country is experiencing a drought that is affecting most of the country.” That sums it up for Somalia.

4. Democratic Republic of Congo – A place of widespread lawlessness and obviously filled with civil unrest. The security there is highly volatile.

5. North Korea – A communist country ruled by the “Great Leader” Kim Jong Il who seems to be obsessed with wacky hairstyles. Expect yourself to have limited freedom in this country and also to be jailed just because you look like a spy

.

6. Sudan – When you have a country experiencing conflict, unrest, clashes and violence and military involvement, you might want to stay away for your own good.

7. Libya – Colonel Gaddafi, “still” the ruler of Libya continues to stand by his position even after facing intense condemnation from all over the world. There is military intervention by UN and this could possibly result in military strikes which could happen any time and anywhere.  Sounds fun, eh?

8. Nigeria – You might remember that weird emails you got claiming to be from a Nigerian banker who has a ton of money to transfer to your bank account. Well, there’s more than that happening in this country. With armed attacks, robbery, kidnappings , banditry and terrorism competing to get the more lives out of this world, you might want to avoid this country.

9. Syria – Another middle-eastern country riddled with conflicts. The security there is vastly deteriorating and there is a very high risk of violent clashes and terrorist attacks as there are on-going anti-government protests.

10. Yemen – There is on-going fighting between armed militias and people who consider going to this country should seriously not do so. There is a very real risk of violent attacks.
