Airport Security

The real purpose.
The purpose of all those searches and precautions at the airport is to deter you from flying. It is to make air travel as onerous as possible so that unless you really have to, you will avoid airports at all costs.
I hate flying. I don’t even like to see planes. But alas, I had to travel in 2008.
If I hated flying before, this took hate to a new level.
In Jamaica one flies from Kingston on the South Coast to Montego Bay on the North Coast before boarding a plane which actually leaves the island. I don’t know why, but when it comes to Jamaica, logic doesn’t live here anymore.
I had to be at the airport TWO HOURS before my flight, hence I arrived just after 5 a.m. I was searched severely.I am five feet tall, a size zero and tend to wear what one might call ’suck on’ clothing. If I had a coin in my pocket you could read the date.
Nevertheless it was one hell of a search. Shoes off, check the little bag I had, my pockets, and of course, my jewelry would set off the alarm, and so it took about fifteen minutes for me to get through ‘Security’. Imagine if I was taller and heavier, I might still be there.
Since this is Jamaica, one enters at the far East of the airport, has to walk to the far west. About a half mile. As one reaches the departure gate, I was searched again, just in case I found some sort of illegal item in the airport, which is hermetically sealed from one end to another.
So imagine being in a large pipe, being searched at one end, and searched at the other. Then allowed to board a plane which is going less than two hundred miles.
Guess what happened when the plane landed?
Right.
I was searched again in case I had gotten out of the plane while it was flying from Kingston to Montego Bay.
I then had to walk another half mile, because the airport in Montego Bay is set the same way; no matter where you are, it is one half mile to where you have to go.
Before I was allowed to board the plane to take me to Florida…you got it.
I was searched again.
A plane full of people, walked from one gate to another, but me? I was searched again. Just in case something changed between arrival and departure.
When the plane landed in Orlando..yah. You got it. I was searched again. Then, sent to another line to be searched before being allowed out of the airport.
So you can see, how easy it is for anyone to carry any kind of explosive or firearm on a plane, as long as they are flying with me.
Now what were all these searches in aid of?
The chap from Nigeria didn’t seem to have much of a problem, and if the passengers didn’t take care of him, maybe he would have blown up the plane. That there were all sorts of warnings about him one would have assumed he might have been searched as I had been.
I know most of you have flown and been subjected to the same indignities that I was. And maybe you thought it might have some use. Now you know.
If you can take the train, do it. If you can take a boat, do it.
Airport Security is simply designed to sell train tickets.

Here is another thought.
What is the purpose of the Terrorist attacks these searches claim to be responding to?
If you said “Kill people” you would be wrong. Sure, people sometimes die in these attacks, but that is only a means to an end.
The main purpose is to make everyone miserable. To stop western people from flying and And to make those who fly suffer as you did.
This also suggests the proper response.
Profiling.
Do exactly what they accuse western governments of already. Grill Anyone names Abdul, Mohamed or other Muslim name. Harass people from Arab countries. If you ever visited Afghanistan or Pakistan, you are asked to explain.
Turn up in a chadri or hijab and every member of your family is put on the Strip-search list.
Then you can relax, other stereotypes prefer to live.
While you are at it, put little pot belied pigs in the cabin of each plane. They are offensive to Jews, Rastas and Adventists but such people can live with the critter for a few hours.
For a Muslim to die in the presence of a pig however is to miss his appointment with Allah. No virgins for him.

These people are not really Muslims, they just use it as the excuse.
If you examine the raw poverty of those living in Muslim countries and the raw wealth of those at the top; it is pretty clear that if the poor ever turned on the rich…considering the millions of poor…
The interesting thing was those from Saudi who made up the bulk of the the 9/11 bombers.
The point is, every passenger must become so keyed up that if the person next to them goes to lay a fart they dig out his eye. Hence getting on with antics on a plane is a non insurable risk.

It is ridiculous that with all the security since Cubans hijacked planes in the 60s and Pales. in the 70s that in 2001 there could have been 9 11 and the subsequent morons like the shoe and panty bomber.
