While I like hostelling, I’m not sure this the top 10 places in the world … there are better hostels in Sofia than the art hostel, and I’ve stayed in plenty of better ones around the world.

I agree with you Craig. These aren’t the best hostels in the world, but it’s a good place to start looking. I use HostelsClub to find my hostels in Italy for example, and the word “best” is subjective obviously, because it depends on what you’re looking for. There are even boutique hostels in NYC for example that are better than some hotels if you as me like the L Hostel. I found all of these with HostelsClub.
