Do You Have the Travel Bug, Too?

An article about places I’d love to go to, or have been to, and an opportunity for you to share your favorite places too!

I don’t know about you, but I love to go to new places and explore all there is to see and do! There’s nothing quite like going somewhere for the first time and experiencing new adventures! Whether is be a community other than my own or a whole new culture, they all have a certain thrill about them! So, I would like to share with you a few places that are special to me!

  • The Olympic Peninsula of Washington State (This is such a beautiful part of the United States, and I would love to go there for one of my photography trips! I’m sure you could take some breathtaking photos there!)

  • Hawaii
    (A tropical paradise!)
  • Florida
(This is one place I have been to before, and it is so different from my home state of Pennsylvania! The weather is beautiful and the beaches are amazing! But that’s about the only part the tourists see besides the theme parks in Orlando. There is so much more than that though! I’ve been in Big Cypress National Park and the Everglades, and it is full of beautiful landscapes and wildlife! I mean, how many places can you see alligators, crocodiles, bald eagles, and dozens of other endangered wildlife all in the same area?)
  • Amazon Rain Forest
(This is one of the wonders of the world! A rain forest that is completely flooded during the rainy season so that you can take a boat through the treetops! And it holds some of the rarest plants and animals in the world! Some not even discovered yet! It was even known to have flowers that can cure diseases such as cancer, but sadly the last known place that these flowers grew was destroyed in a fire. I’ll wright an article with more about that at a later time.)
  • Utah’s Zion Canyon and Arches National Park
(I’ve been to these places before ,too. It may be a barren landscape, but none the less beautiful! From deserts that stretch on a far as the eye can see, to captivating, red rock formations carved by the wind alone! Not for the faint of heart, the hiking trails go on for miles, but are rewarding with spectacular views!)
  • Great Barrier Reef, Australia
(The land down under! It’s one of the only natural habitats that can be seen from space! And it has thousand of species of fish and other sea life! Crystal clear waters allow for some of the best scuba diving and snorkeling in the world!)
  • Africa’s Mt. Kilamanjaro, Savannah, and Great Rift Valley
(It is such a diverse landscape that goes from snow-topped mountains to grassy plains to desert canyons! A safari trip here allows you to see more animals in numbers and species than anywhere else! And the cultures of hundreds of native tribes with more known languages than any other country on earth!)
  • Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming
(Once again another place I’ve been. This is one of the only known spots where you actually can stand in the crater of a volcano! It has hundreds of hot water springs and geysers that erupt frequently, although the smell of sulphur can be a bit overpowering at first. And it is home to the largest herd of Bison in North America, as well as packs of wolves and many other animals known to the great out west!)

But these are actually only a few of the places I would like to go to! My list includes Yosemite National Park in California, the rest of California itself, Rome, Paris, many more places in Europe, and so many more! The list could go on and on!

But I would like to hear from you about places you’ve been or want to go and why that place is special to you! Perhaps I may even add it to my list of places to go and see in my lifetime!
