Interesting factoids about places you can get discounts to eat, shop and travel once you become a Senior Citizen……or as many call us a "Baby Boomer".
Save money now that you are in your “Golden Years”, or at least your older years.
Yes, all you have to do in many cases is ask for the discount if you are 55 years or older. Some businesses start giving the discount at age 55 others at 60 and some others offer the discount to people over 62 years of age.
Wow what a way to save some bucks! All you have to do is ask. You may want to do some net research and find out what your favorite places have to offer seniors.
Here is a list of a few Restaurants:
Arby’s — 10% for 55 yr olds and up
Chili’s — 10% for 55 yr olds and up
Denny’s — 10% for 55 yr olds and up or 20% if you show your AARP Card
IHOP —10% for 55 yr olds and up
Wendy’s — 10% for 55 yr olds and up
Here are some Retail stores that offer the 55 yr old and up discounts: Belk’s ( first tuesday of each month), Big Lots, Kmart, Kohl’s (15% off 60 yrs olds and up), Ross and there are many more.
Now for the travel discounts: your AARP card will get you many discounts from 10% to 25% on airline tickets, hotels, tours, cruises and more. Check out Best Western Motels, Econolodge, Holiday Inn, Marriot Hotels and Hyats Hotels.
Many car rental businesses also give 10% and up to people 55 yrs old and up.
Do some searching and save money…you deserve it!
