Traveling by air is the fastest, the most convenient and comfortable way to travel. When it comes to flying first class, the experience is simply out of the world. 2.    Know when to fly. Experts say that early afternoon and late evening are the best time to get a free upgrade. As business travelers fly mostly during early-morning flights and late-nigh.

3.    Since almost all the airlines have their own website, take advantage of these sites to increase your chances. Go through a false booking on the airline website and check out whether that airline economy section is full or not. If the economy section is full, try and book, the airline will probably upgrade you to first class instead of turning you away.

4.    The way you dress is also very important. If you are booking directly from the airline counter, dress well. Try wearing something formal instead of dirty shoes, torn jeans and so on.
