Pack It Right

Too big a bag, you’ll be lugging around unnecessary weight but too small you’ll have to keep doing your laundry every other day. So what’s the best luggage size to carry?

Weekend getaway: Seriously for those three-day, two-night stays, a stylish travel tote measuring 16″x14″x8″ or a duffel the size of 14″x11″x8″ is a good investment. Look for pockets where you can slip in your boarding pass and passport.

One-week vacation: If you’re planning to go on a week-long jaunt, go for a carryon luggage. Measuring less than 23″ (diagonally) this bag lets you carry all your belongings in its main compartment and there are pockets inside and outside for you to stash items. Best of all, it fits nicely into the plane’s overhead compartment!

One-month holiday: You’ll definitely need a big and durable bag, so invest in a sturdy hard shell luggage made with lightweight material that measures about 18″x23″x10″. It’s roomy enough yet able to withstand the stress of baggage handling. Look out for bags with built-in key locks, plus wheels and pull straps for mobility.

I gave it a Like it!!! Nice analysis.

Alas, for me size of luggage or carrying extra weight doesn’t matter most of the time. My sedan car Mahindra Renault Logan has such a Huge boot that I can fit even 10 or maybe 15 of these kind of bags in the boot. Most of the time I travel around in India in My Logan only. It has taken me places. I’m planning to switch to the new Logan Edge Connect ( http://www.mahindrarenault.com )

as for trip abroad, where I won’t have my car, these tips are definitely priceless.
