Is one of the best trips i ever seen, the idea of drive into Mexico was so eccentric, i mean, i have been there but last news about violence and the notorious swine flu was a risk that i didn´t want to live.

I didn´t know what i was losing!, a wild trip!.

There’s a lot of check points, but as US or Canadian citizen, we got a vacationer hologram, so it is our pass to cross this checkpoints faster. Someones stop me to check how i’m going, or to ask where do i go. This is a good tip:

Get your schedule, get a map and find your beach or town, note the villages or important cities along the way is you will drive to a far place, why?, they don´t ask so much and let you go quick. Most of this military checkpoints are outsides of the cities, so you can say “i’m going to (next city)”.

Specially if you bring some gifts for your family or friends on your truck or your RV.

From San Diego to Puerto Vallarta, driving by the Pacific, i passed this cities: Mexicali, San Carlos Sonora, Puerto Peñazco Sonora, Bahía Kino Sonora, Guaymas Sonora, Cd. Obregón Sonora, Navojoa Sonora, Los Mochis Sinaloa, Mazatlán Sinaloa, Tepic Nayarit, San Pancho Nayarit, Sayulita Nayarit, La Cruz Nayarit and then to Puerto Vallarta.

A hot driving trip!

Beautiful landscapes: Desert, reeds, steppes and then the jungle, a green world. A great contrast of nature, people and colors.

Mexican roads are not so fast, only the quote highway you can drive safely, i mean, at the freeway you can find cows, bulls, people crossing, small animals as squirrels, skunks, armadillos, snakes, iguanas and lot more.

So drive carefully and slowly, take your time, enjoy the trip and please, don´t forget your camera.
