The five most visited countries in the world are waiting for you.

France, 81.9 Million Tourists

The most popular country to travel to has, as main attractions, the monuments spread all over Paris, such as the Eiffel tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the cathedral of Notre-Dame and the Disneyland Paris theme park.

If you’re looking to go skiing, France has to offer you the Alps and the Pyrenees, both being very important stages on the most important cycling tour in the world, “Le tour de France”.

If you’re more of a beach guy/girl, you can also choose to go to the Mediterranean coast of France and while you’re at it, you can also visit the city of Marseille. Other beach destinations are the French islands (on the Mediterranean or far away from the mainland)

Spain, 59.2 Million Tourists

Spain is mostly known for the amazing beaches that there are in this beautiful country. You can have a great time at the Mediterranean beaches from Barcelona to Málaga, without forgetting Murcia and Valencia in between. There are often theme parks in these coastal cities, which can be a fun break from the hot weather of the beach.

Spain has also to offer you other kinds of leisure, such as bullfights, museums and the huge national parks, all over the country.

Like France, Spain also has magnificent sky resorts, being Formigal one of them, on the Pyrenees.

United States, 56.0 Million Tourists

The United States, being the bronze medal winners, have to offer a huge range of monuments and attractions. With 50 states for you to visit, the major monuments and locations you shouldn’t miss are: Times Square in New York, Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Niagara Falls in New York, Grand Canyon in Arizona, the American Museum of Natural History in Manhattan, the Universal Studios in Hollywood and the Seers Towers in Chicago.

With so much to offer, you should make a list of the places you want to visit and make an in-depth plan of your trip so that you can make the best of it.

China, 54.7 Million Tourists

Now, China is a country you’ll never forget.

China’s main monuments and sites are the Three Gorges, the Great Wall of China and Mount Everest but the last one is just for adventurous people.

You should also visit Beijing and Hong Kong so that you can see how’s life in China and be amazed by the size of these colossal cities.

Italy, 43.7 Million Tourists

Most known for the pizza, Italy has a very pleasant Mediterranean weather and the beaches can prove how relaxing it can be.

In Italy, you should be reminded to see Rome and Vatican City, Venece, Piza tower and Mount Vesuvius.

Italy is a great country with balance cultural and mainly leisure places.

I realize that summarizing these five countries is an impossible task, but I’m afraid your summaries don’t do them justice. Italy is “most known for its pizza?” Oh, come on! What about beautiful Florence – the birthplace of the Renaissance? And Disneyworld Paris, the Las Vegas strip and Universal Hollywood are really at the top of your list for destinations in France and the U.S.? There’s nothing remotely authentic about any of those places. What a waste! Might as well tell people that when they’re in Washington DC, they should go to a bowling alley instead of the Smithsonian.
