Tips on how to wash clothes while travelling.
We always take for granted that there will always be clean clothes available until we go on a travel. I always face the same problem and normally curse myself for being unprepared. Now i’m wiser. These are a few tips that will help you to wash clothes effortlessly while on the road:
- First and foremost, pick clothes that are easy to wash. Drip-dry garments are the best.
- Buy a sick stopper and a mesh bag for laundry. Be prepared with a small elastic and durable string/cord to make a clothesline to dry your clothes.
- Fill the sink with water and put your clothes in.
- If you have detergent, good, if not, just lather the shampoo or soap. Laundry detergent requires more rinsing.
- Wring the clothes to squeeze as much water as possible. If there’s a dry towel, roll your wet clothes with the towel to expedite drying.
- Hang the clothes near a vent, air conditioning unit, near a window or in sunlight.
- Put any undried clothes in your mesh bag if you had to move. In dry, warm weather, you can keep this bag exposed to air while travelling.
