Every year the best of the best in travel industry are awarded the World Travel Awards by the people involved in the travel industry. Here are some of the winners for year 2008.
We all love to travel. If the place we visit, the hotel we stay in and airline we take are not good the complete traveling experience is ruined. But there is someone who can tell which place to go and what to do to make your traveling experience worth remembering. Each year travel agents around the world vote to decide on the best of the best from all areas of global travel industry and these are awarded the World Travel Awards. Here is what they voted in 2008 as the best of the best.
- World’s leading theme park was awarded to Disney World, Florida.
- World’s leading airlines was awarded to Singapore Airlines.
- World’s leading attractions were The Pyramids at Giza.
- World’s leading hotel was awarded to Burj Al Arab, Dubai.
- World’s leading destination was London, England.
- World’s leading casino resort was Genting Highland, Malaysia.
- World’s most romantic destination was Maldives.
- World’s leading new destination was Abu Dhabi.
- World’s leading cruse line was the Royal Caribbean International.
- World’s leading airport was Singapore Changi Airport.
